Today we sent Chris Richards and Jacob Coburn to represent us in the Eco Abets 2012 Summer Design Charrette. This is yearly event put on by Eco Abet which looks to provide design service free of charge to charitable organizations that are unable to afford it. We strongly support Chris Richards who has been working with Eco Abet since 2011. We are always excited to be a part of the great work that they are doing. Look at the slides for more information about the work we did that day.

Revolve Community Bike Shop is a bike shop that serves the community surrounding 51st and troost, this includes several low income communities and the UMKC and Rockhurst College Campuses.

With limited resources, they have turned a former auto service station into a bike- refurbishing station where donated used bicycles are put back into circulation as earth-friendly, transportation options. What can't be refurbished is parted out and/or taken to metal and rubber recycling.

To allow the great work of Revolve KC to continue and expand we sought to optimize the bike storage on site and bring some of that historical charm back to the building by installing two service garage doors and an awning which they could use to host some of their regular yearly events. The awning would connect to the bus stop that is on the corner of the property, furthering the shops identity and community involvement.
